Our commission and objective were to maintain the authentic Victorian character while sensitively modernising the residence to accommodate contemporary family requirements and amenities, simultaneously celebrating its heritage and architectural significance.

The restoration process was executed with meticulous attention to detail, with substantial investment in duplicating and preserving the residence’s original elements and character. All new structures and additions were thoughtfully integrated to ensure the principal architectural style and historical grandeur remained intact.

Timber windows featuring leaded glass were meticulously recreated throughout. Custom moulds were produced from the existing concrete columns and arches, enabling us to open the previously dark interior and introduce natural light deep into the home. A purpose-designed courtyard with water feature creates a harmonious transition between original and new structures without compromising light penetration. The original pressed ceilings underwent specialist restoration, with new ceiling work carefully matched to maintain period authenticity.

The extensive grounds underwent comprehensive transformation, including removal of invasive plant species, reintroduction of expansive lawns, and establishment of a formal garden court defining the property entrance.

The previous thatched lapa was removed, revealing a concealed swimming pool which was subsequently restored and enhanced with new landscaping. All auxiliary structures received comparable renovations, while non-essential elements were removed to highlight the property’s valuable architectural assets.
